FiltaBac Cream is the ultimate in skin protection and skin correction and is suitable for most animals. Since the 70's, the demand for a suitable application to protect non-pigmented and non-hair covered skin has been extremely important, particularly in horses, dogs and cats.

And it still is very important today.

The main problem is the extreme and damaging effects of Facial Eczema. Skin damage is attributed to the photo-sensitisation caused by the absorption of ingested toxins and is typically manifested in the form of peeling.

The traditional application was a black cream or ointment. We were asked to improve on this product and develop a better and more effective solution.

So we did just that!

At first, we made another black cream but felt that was exactly the reverse to what should be done in the case of photo-sensitivity. So we quickly developed a white, reflective cover cream with the thought that "it's protective barrier requirements" could effectively be thought of as "another skin" with the added benefit of having antibacterial qualities for skin that was damaged and under stress.

FiltaBac Cream did the job and the real benefit of the cream was quickly recognised.

The barrier cover of the FiltaBac Cream simulated the properties of undamaged skin, plus, the sun block properties minimised any further damage.

The consistency and the phasing of the cream's structure mimics the skins properties allowing transpiration of the covered area and prevents intrusion of external contaminants while also binding soluble constituents such as chemicals and antigens.
